Imagine being told you can only have one child
Imagine growing up in a country that instills women are worthless and boys are a prize..
Imagine the FEAR
Imagine the panic, the stress, and hysteria that surrounds a second pregnancy..
In that moment the consequences of being found out flash before your eyes..
-forced abortion
-serializations
-and fines up to 30,000 dollars
Here are just a few startling facts..
Each day in china more than 3,500 forced and coerced abortions occur
and 500 women commit suicide.
More than 1million babies are abandoned into society each year.
In the past 30 years, with China’s one-child policy, more than 400 million
lives have been taken
For every six boys born in China, that sixth baby girl is not allowed to live.
So the sixth boy will never be able to find a bride, so that becomes a
massive problem for sex trafficking.
So China’s one-child policy is not just a Chinese problem
it is a global issue.
Typically if a baby girl isn’t aborted, her future consist of being left
in a dumpster, a river, or a drop off point. If found alive, she will be
picked up and placed in an orphanage or what are more commonly known
now as the dying rooms.
During our intercession time this morning we prayed
For a hope to sweep through the country of China
For a generation to rise up and take a stand
For the physical health of the women and a break in the
oppression they face
For the government to WAKE UP
For all the little ones in the orphanages
and above all
For Jesus Christ to to be known and glorified
through out the country.
