to step out or not.. that is the question i have had on my mind for the entire month of mozambique..  let me just tell you that the people of africa dont mess around.. and what i mean by that is they take very seriously the commands and authority given to us as sons and daughters to cast out the demons and heal the sick.. to speak in different tongues and prophecy… all topics you can find through out the bible FACT- but let me tell you its different to read about these things and to see and witness them happening right in front of your very eyes!!! more to come on this in a later blog : ) but i wanted to first tell yall about an amazing thing that happened to me while i was visiting pastor mario’s church in beria. his church has three services on sunday with anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 attending..  watch this video and see how your brothers and sisters are worshiping God across the world.. its was soo much fun.. by far the most free i have ever felt before in worship!!!

im hoping you were able to see all the people in church that night.. so you can imagine how shocked i was when after worship pastor mario pointed at yours truly.. and called little ole me on stage!!!!! i did one of those turn to the left and right looking around to see if maybe he was talking to the person behind me and then pointed at myself and was like me?? and the next thing i knew people from the church were helping me up the stairs onto the stage.. i remember looking back at my team and mouthing WHAT?? vinny then gave me two thumbs up and all i could think of was “what is he about to call me out on?” and to think in front of 4,000 people ! EEkkk*!!!!!!! i could hardly breath and then i reminded myself how gentle and loving our lord is.. and as i walked up to him he began to prophesy over me..  it was the most insane moment i have had on the race.. i immediately started crying.. words cant really describe the physical presence of the lord and to be in the midst of it is so joyful it always always brings me to tears.. here is the video (thanks to my awesome teammates who got this incredible moment on film.. so grateful for you guys!!)

so there you have it.. something i will always cherish.. whenever people have words for me it always makes me feel so loved by God.. to think that he is running the universe but loves and adores me so much that he is going to give any willing vessel a message to pass to me.. it gets me every time.. it makes my intimacy with the lord grow so incredibly much..  and that is one thing i have learned here in lichinga at the iris base.. how important spending time with our heavenly father is.. how badly he desires to have more of us, how he wants us to delight in him and be filled with his spirit and overflow with his love. this month the iris team gave us something that is more precious than any physical treasure you could find here on earth.. they gave 6 wore out missionaries rest… they live in such a wonderful environment of hearing from the lord and being lead by the spirit that team fuego was able to just come along side them and serve, rest, get poured into, and it was a beautiful time.. the weeks spent there were so special to us.

tiffany our contact was incredible before we even made it to lichinga she had made a calender for us. each day had 3 or 4 different ministries we could be apart of and all we had to do was fill in our names on our sign up board! we did everything from men and women’s prison ministry (my favorite), construction, village evangelism, children’s bible study, hospital ministry, english class with the aunties, crafts an bread making with the kids, helping out with church, hip hop ministry and assumane fun day in the village! now something that was a bit different for us was when they said do what you want.. if one day your tired and you need to just rest and relax do that.. if you want to have a slow morning and just spent time with the lord.. do that.. basically no condemnation for taking a day here or there to have some alone time.. SO DIFFERENT from the last 5 months on the race where it has been do as much as possible every hour of every day! it really gave our team the chance to slow down and hear from God, and participate in what HE wanted us to do.. what ministry HE wanted us to be apart of, it allowed us a time to just delight in the lord.. all pressure off.. and i cant tell you what that did for us… we are all leaving mozambique different people.  SO A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE IRIS BASE IN LICHINGA- we love you guys so much and are so thankful for the way you follow Jesus and are obedient in living radically for him! 🙂 it was such an honor for us to come serve along side you guys.. thank you for pouring into us and teaching us how important finding and living in HIS pretense is!
