Sometimes God speaks to us through a message at church, sometimes he speaks to us through a friend, He can even speak to us through our enemies, but sometimes its just a still small voice.
During a night of fellowship we were asked to listen to God and hear His words. That night he asked that we call them out, speak them, and know that they are true. I struggled at first, but the Holy Spirit was present and He gave me words to speak. Words that He said were for Y squad. These words were unknown to me until late that night, in my tent, God led me to passages of scripture and the words returned. God gave me tangible reminders, by helping me write out His truth so that I could see them, touch them, pray for their continually. You’ve heard these phrases before, if you’ve been following the path God has blessed me with.
Y Squad is called to abundant life, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, I have come that they may have to to the full.” (John 10:10) Y Squad is called to share the water of life. “…if you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water’…‘Everyone who drinks this water will never be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst again. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”(John 4:10;13-14) Y squad will experience tongues of flame on every head. “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit…” (Acts 2:2-4)
My prayer that night and still continues that the Lord would continue to speak to me through His voice, His word, and that He would speak to me of theses scriptures He has given me. I want to see Him be glorified through all that Y squad takes part in. These are living, God-breathed words. He has begun a good, good work in me and my squad and I know He will see us through “until the day of completion.”
Answered prayer: “God would give you verses in your heart/memory.”
