It's official! Passport in hand! Boarding Pass in Hand. Launch completed at one amazing site at Virgina Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA (www.vts.edu).
This amazing place, VTS, blessed us with the use of their facilities, where our squad could have final preparation and training time. Fred, an Episcopal priest, from the seminary came and prayed over us and exhorted us as we were leaving the campus. What an incredible blessing!
A bus ride ride to REI, where 20+ packs and backpackers overwhelmed REI, a final American meal at Chili's, another bus to the metro, and a charter bus ride to Dulles International has entailed my journey to Gate A15, where we will board our first official flight. This 14-hour intial flight will take us to Doha, Qatar, where we wait for 7 hours, prior to boarding our flight to Nairobi, Kenya, arriving Sunday morning. One day of rest, one day of training and another day of travel to Kakamega, Kenya, where our ministry begins with Logos Celebration Ministry. Hopefully, will update soon, but who knows… I have started to write a new blog, but its not completed. God did some amazingness at Launch and its only the beginning. God has begun a good, GOOD work in me and my squad and He will see it through to fruition. God's omnipresence is already in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Ukraine, Romaina, and another European country yet to be announced, but as a squad we pray for God's manifest presence to be experienced in each of these countries.
