Who am I? What am I about? Well, for starter’s I am not a blogger, so the explanation of who am I is already being stretched in 2011 by this alone. God is working in my life and teaching me in more ways than one, who I am. I am Laura Danielle Williams, a beloved child of I AM. I am blessed beyond belief to have grown up in a home where God was made known to me at a very young age. I have a family who encouraged me to seek His presence. I asked Him to personally walk with me at the age of 6, and fully dedicated my life as a follower of Christ at the age of 12.

I am the loved daughter of Phil and Cindy, the “Little Sis” to Jeremy and Michaela, blessed sister-in-law to RJ and Tyla, and the bestest Auntie Laura to Kaylie, Tatum, Caleb, and Katyn (E.T.A. May 2011)!!
God blessed me with a dream at a very young age, a dream I can track back to my earliest memories. I have a passion, a deep love for infants and not just the ones that came to church or were the siblings of my closest friends. I have never known a time that I didn’t desire to be a “sick baby” nurse. So from the very beginning I have striven for that goal. God brought me through obstacles along the way, and he blessed me with my heart’s desire on August 20th, 2007, when I walked through the doors of Loma Linda Medical Center, for my first day as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse and three years later as I began working at CHOC Childrens. I love, LOVE, my job. Even to this day, 3.5 years into my career, I GET to go to work! I am able to make my living doing what I love, I get to honor God with my whole heart by helping the greatest lil’ miracles. What a God we serve!

Yes, that is an IV.
Psalm 139- NIV
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Just as God has called me to be a neonatal nurse, He also gave me a heart for the nations from a very young age. A heart for his people in every land. Mexico’s border was crossed when I was 14, 15, 17, 18, and 22. The international date line was crossed with a trip to the Philippines when I was 21. A place that stole a piece of my heart and I am so blessed that God’s giving me the opportunity to return.

God is stretching me, by calling me to take a step back from a job I fully know He called me to and from a group of people I am coming to love. What I do know is that He has called me to serve with Adventures in Missions, for the World Race! My prayer is that I be a worthy handmaiden in His Kingdom, in His whole Kingdom, not just in the world He has blessed me to be a part of these last 26 years.

Let the Adventure Begin!
