The feed us like kings everywhere we go, even in the remote villages where malnutrition is evident in the rotting teeth of the children they feed us their best..

Chicken is almost always on the menu, and tortillas are served with every meal.. Their salsa brings a new meaning to the word hot and we don¡¯t have to worry about the water because even most the villagers use bottled water for cooking and drinking¡

I love my new casa and I sleep on the top bunk of a bunk bed.. every night I have to rid my bed of the ants that want to sleep with me, and I have to put my ear plugs in or the sweet rooster outside my glassless window will wake me up every 10 mins.. I wish I could record all the sounds I hear at night¡ It is almost impossible to comprehend as im listening¡ Theres dogs fighting and barking and yelping, chickens clucking, roosters calling, people talking in 3 different languages, babies crying, sheep bahhhing, ducks quacking and birds singing.. Theres the occasional car passing and the plastic window coverings of the many houses scraping¡ And on top of those there are about 30 other sounds that I have yet to figure out¡ Im getting used to it though, I kind of like it.. makes me feel part of something, not so isolated¡

Today we are going to some Mayan ruins, and then ministering to some local people in a near by village.. Should be fun, so far everyday has been a day to remember¡

The Lord is amazing and new everyday, and I cant wait to come home and tell everyone all my stories..

I love you all!
