A very hearty MOLWENI (hello) from Team MXP!We invite you to travel around the world, as well as discover and experience God’s heart for the nations with us.
Please allow us to introduce ourselves:
Jacques du Plessis (29) – Was a Bible Teacher for five years at Despatch High School.
Lana du Plessis (25) – Married to Jacques and was ‘n Bible Teacher for four years at Strelitzia High School.
Stefan Kleyn (25) – Twin brother of Lana and was a teacher at Daniel Pienaar Technical High School in 2005.
Anita Jooste (25) – Coordinated international outreaches for UCSA for the past few years.Five months ago we were camping with a few American friends close to where we stay and discussed what we knew about the World Race. We al thought it to be an amazing project, but of course we were all busy with our own ministries. The very next day Anna-Marie Franken (International Project Leader) phoned us to ask the four of us if we would pray about and consider representing South Africa on the World Race. We were all stunned at the possibility and decided to pray and fast about the matter. We agreed to give each other time until the Wednesday of that week to come back with an answer. God was faithful and revealed very clearly to us individually that this was our calling for the next year. We decided to be obedient, and knew that He would provide in every need we had. We all quit our fulltime jobs and we now stand at the doorstep of something Bigger than any of us could have ever imagined.
As we look back on the past five months, we are STUNNED by how God has provided in all our personal and financial needs. Many Godly miracles have happened to get all the visas in our passports and God has already provided in 85% of the team’s financial needs for the year.
We are VERY EXCITED about ministering and brining the Good News to so many nations! We believe that this is only the beginning of this Dream to reach the nations and the Spirit of God will move with us wherever we go.
Our race begins on the 25th of January when we fly to Brazil and we are looking forward to meet our American friends who have already been ministering for the past couple of weeks. We are excited to work alongside them in Guatamala and the rest of the world.
A very big thankyou to all our family, friends and supporters at home – we love you all and are thankful for your daily support and prayers!
Greetings in Christ,
Team MXP
