Receiving blessings while blessing others!

11:50 Friday 21 April

Our time in Thailand has only been a blessing and we feel VERY privileged to work in such a beautiful place!

Before we forget, our team came SECOND in the race to Phuket, and had GREAT FUN doing it!  After eating some NASTY bugs, Jacques swam a few hundred metres to retrieve our team’s flag from an island.  We had to ride elepahants, climb a few thousand stares, do research about Bhudism, and much more!  We want to give a hearty thanks to Thomas, our South African friend, and KC for helping us out while Lana was still struggling with Bronchitis – you guys did SO GREAT!!!

Our team, together with Kimmy (Blue Team), have been camping in tents with our South African hosts (Ben, Aletta, Janke and Joshua) for the past few days.  Our team once again refers to ourselves as the A TEAM for these few days of ministry.  We are spending our time helping in and around their house as far as we can.

Stefan has spent two days finishing his media-work and has joined Jacques and Lana with the painting today.

Jacques and Lana have spent their time painting the Children’s room, the hallway and the “reading room”.  Of course they had to make use of the opportunity to leave our “trademark” behind and they used…

Lime/green paint!!!

Kimmy has spent her time helping with the home schooling programme and is truly enjoing spending so much time with the children.  Janke and Joshua have also been joining her in sleeping in the “penthouse” (a LARGE blue tent) at night!

Janke and a friend have been VERY busy in the kitchen this morning.  They are making chocolate brownies and we look forward to a nice snack later during tea time!

Joshua and his friend have been learning very hard and they are two dedicated “home schoolers” (especially with us painting all over the place, they are doing a great job at concentrating and doing what needs to be done) – with a little help from Kimmy and Aletta, of course!

We really want to thank Ben and his family for their hospitality and friendship during our stay here.  It has been SUCH a blessing to be part of a family-setting once again and we have really grown to love them dearly over these past few days!

Tonight, we plan on having a real South-African

BRAAI!!! (die ma’s sal almal bly wees!)
– that is a South African “barbeque” for our American friends, but we use either wood or charcoal.
(We cannot wait, especially, Jacques and Stefan!)

On Sunday morning we will leave once again for Yanui Beach where we will have our debrief time before India.  We willl probably be camping on again – which is GREAT fun!

Thank you so much once again for all the support and prayers we get from everyone!  Please pray for us as we prepare for India – that the Lord will keep us VERY healthy and obedient in everything we do!

Hou die blink kant bo en geniet ons mooi land – Daar’s geen land soos ONS land!

Liefde en groete en seenwense,
The Lime Team
