God speaks Tibetan!
After a looooooong and COLD bus ride over the mountains, we are now in the Tibetan area. Although we are not within the political boundaries of Tibet, the people here are Tibetans, with only a few Chinese Muslims who run a few shops and restaurants. It is a COMPLETE different culture and the few Chinese words we have learned are of very little use here!
Tomorrow morning our team splits up into three. Anita will leave with Clara, Fransois and Anthony from the Yellow team to the highest town that we will be ministering in. The altitude is about 15 000F above sea level. Stefan will be leaving together with Anna-Marie, Estee from the Yellow team and Kim from theBlue team to a town at about 12 500F above sea level. Jacques and Lana will leave together with Sarah and Tauna from the Blue team for a town about 12 000F above sea level. We have spent some time in prayer and believe that this is how the Lord has lead us. We will meet up together in the city of “Nishi” on Thursday the 30th of March. Then we will be leaving for “Lanzou”, where we will take another looooooong bus ride to Hong Kong.
Please pray with us for the following:
*Safe travelling over the mountains
*That the Holy Spirit will guide and protect us in whatever we do in the following week
*Good health – some of our friends are struggling with the high altitude, and some of us are going even higher than we are rigth now
*Protection for our families and friends back home
*The Tibetan people who are truly lost in darkness without Jesus Christ.
We hope to bring you fresh news when we are in Nishi again. Many thanks for all your prayers and support. Groete ook spesiaal aan al ons Suid-Afrikaanse pelle, ons verlang na julle en ook die “vleispotte van Suid-Afrika!”
