Can’t believe it’s already February and the second month of my race! January definitely flew by! I’m writing to you from Cambodia where I’ve been for a little over a week. As much as I attempted to prepare myself for the things I would experience on this journey, I’m still shocked when I realize just how blessed I was to be born in a country like the United States. Upon arriving in Cambodia, I saw a mother holding her child. (Seems normal, right?) The child was sleeping in his mother’s arms with his foot in a cup. His heel was towards the bottom of the cup while his toes pointed towards the sky. I know that my foot doesn’t do that. It was a horrific sight to see.
My first prayer in Cambodia was for God to be here and for Him to help me.
Thankfully, I haven’t seen anything like that since arriving at our host family’s home.
In Cambodia, I’m living with a pastor, his wife, and three children (that aren’t theirs). My team and I are doing a mixture of things right now but mostly teaching children English. For some of them, we are the only education that they will ever receive.
Please keep my team and me in your prayers as we continue to be God’s hands and feet. I will try to post more soon but my access to internet is limited!
