Wow! With your loving support, I now have $11,080! Thank you!
This means I’m only $5,191 short of my $16,271 goal. I did the math (for those who don’t know, it’s kind of a big deal for me to do math voluntarily) and figured out that if I can have two hundred and fifty people to donate $20, I will be fully funded. Will you please prayerfully consider being one of them?
Last weekend my family went to our annual family reunion (on my mom’s side). One of the greatest things about my mom’s side of the family is the fact that it’s a big family. My mom is one of ten. She has six brothers and three sisters. Needless to say reunions are never dull.
When I was younger, I have to admit that I wasn’t really thankful for my big family. It was difficult remembering everyone names, and trying to remember who belonged to who.
Now, it’s not a problem; my extended family has become one of the things I’m most thankful for.
This year, we went around the room and told everyone what we were most thankful for. When it was my turn, I said I was thankful for family, and friends, and being able to be with them before I left on this amazing adventure God has in store for me.
I am thankful for my big Christian family, that loves to sing and who love each other.
This year was sort of different, it was getting late and the youngest child in my family was getting restless. So I asked my mom if she wanted me to take her back to our hotel. (That way she would still be able to talk with the family.) She said that would be fine. As I made my way out hugging everyone, one of my aunts pulled me aside, and asked if she could pray for me. I nodded, and said I would love that.
So, everyone gathered around me, they put their hands on me, they prayed for me. They prayed for my safety. They prayed for God to use me to bless people. They prayed for people to bless me. After we said amen, they started to sing (as if I wasn’t already trying my hardest not to cry). Hearing them sing made maintaining my composure almost impossible. (I am not a fan of crying in front of people.) I can’t explain how encouraging it was to have my family show me that they support me.

Let me clarify, I have always known that they support me, but for them to actually put their hands on me and pray it was just.. wow. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing family especially such a large one.
Family = steadfast love & support
Big = 10 siblings + spouses + children
Blessed =ME!
Be thankful for your family, whether it’s big or small. Be thankful.
