Have you ever wondered why God’s nature originates out of the impossible, the unordinary, and what some might just call plain crazy? Lol 🙂
Why is it that He calls us to do things that don’t make sense… in our society, to our friends, or even to ourselves? Why does He give us gifts and then ask us to lay them back at His feet? Why did He call Abraham to lay his very son on an alter for the purpose of sacrificing him? Why does He lead us to situations where there are no answers and multiple directions? Why did He call Noah to build a huge boat while becoming the laughing stock of his neighbors, all the while it making absolutely no sense in that moment? Why is God’s timing so contrary to our human perspective? I mean seriously, Jacob waiting 7 years to marry Rachel?! That sounds pretty nuts if you ask me, but to God it’s so short in comparison to eternity. Why does God bring two people together with an unsure future, different callings, & yet still give them an intense peace to step out in faith & trust him…when none of it makes sense?
Just a few thoughts I’ve been chewing on lately, while making some decisions revolving around our impossible & God’s possible.
“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3
