…”That’s the story of our lives. Everywhere we go we walk into a story in motion. Before we ever arrive, God is on the scene carrying out His plan and causing all things to work for His fame. We arrive to join the regularly scheduled program already in progress…God’s story is the already in motion story, a story that was happening just fine before we arrived and is going to go on just fine with or without you and me” (Giglio 107-108).
As I’ve been learning through the book i am not but i know I AM by Louie Giglio I’ve been experiencing what it means to play the supporting role in God’s story, rather than trying to take the lead. Since coming on the World Race God’s been impressing upon me that He invites me to join Him where He’s already moving and what He’s already doing in the world. In reflecting on this past month’s ministry and relationships we’ve made in Mexico, I see how much God has spoken to me and our entire squad about this concept. “Krystle, I have been moving in these people’s lives before you ever arrived and I will continue to do so after you’ve left. As for now, I invite you to partner with me and I want to move in and through you. But it’s not about you. It’s about you & I together.”
While learning more and more about how BIG God is and how small I am, I still see His intimacy drawing me in to work right alongside Him in all that He’s doing in this world of His.
“That’s why we should wake up each day on the lookout for the Story of God, constantly thinking to ourselves, ‘God is already here. What is He up to?’ ” (108).
