So I wrote this for a future Racer, but as I read over the letter, I really felt that it could touch many different people in all kinds of circumstances.

Dear future Racer,

Halfway can be difficult. The excitement has worn off for the most part and constantly having to move around has gotten a bit old. You come to this point when you realize: even traveling is hard. I suppose life in general is hard. We can’t glamorize any part of it because eventually we see that no matter where we are, we’re still doing life and that’s hard. That is why we can’t take a single breath without Jesus. We need Him. We don’t only need Him to take our sins away (because He is so able to do so) but we also need Him for life. Every second. Every moment. And what’s more, we can’t just have part of Him. No. We need all of Jesus! Anything you do start by knowing this: a step taken without Jesus isn’t worth taking. There is a lot of hard stuff that goes on in this world. People will treat you unfair, they’ll judge the way you look, they’ll try to use you just because your American. Take heart. You have Jesus by your side. He comforts, He understands, He sees. Embrace what He has given you because there is really no better way to live than near Him. He has put you here. Trust me. He has put you exactly where you are. Keep going! But don’t do it alone – move as you are led by your Savior. Walking hand in hand. There’s nothing better than falling in love with Him. And sometimes, these hard things are what show you just how good He truly is.

Much Love,

Kris =)

Also, just for the fun of it, here is a picture of team Overflow going out for Valentines together. Our guys are so sweet. They bought each girl a rose and then treated us to dinner. Bonus points: they also opened the door of the taxi for us when we arrived at the restaurant. Yupp! I love my team!
