Hola!! I am here in Mexico and loving life. The trip from Orlando to Houston was uneventful. Little did I know that when I arrived in Houston, I would find 4 other World Racers at the airport. We all flew to Brownsville, Texas together on an itty bitty airplane. The guy behind me was talking to me the whole way there and we had yell because the plane was so loud. It was funny!! He did have some very helpful traveling tips for me..which I am thankful for. When we arrived in Texas, we were greeted by a few other World Racers. You should have seen all of us trying to put our backpacks on our backs. OH…it was hilarious. Sarah and I were bumping into eachother like bumper cars. We will have plenty of practice putting our backpacks on in the near future.
When we got to our DORM we found BUNK BEDS. I have a feeling this is going to compare to the Ritz Carlton after we are finished with the race. One funny story and then I have to get going. Last night, three of us went to the airport to pick up one last racer. Tauna’s luggage was lost, so we went to get that also. Well…as we crossed the border we got picked for a random inspection. The three of us had to get out of the car and show the inspectors our passports. It lasted only about 5 minutes, but it was definitely interesting. Everything checked out and we were on our way! PLUS we found Tauna’s luggage..YEAH!!!!
Tonight, we have church. I have been wearing a skirt ALL DAY thinking church was going to be this morning. I really didn’t want to change because I only have 4 outfits. I wouldn’t dare wear TWO outfits in one day! He He. I look forward to learning tonight and afterwards sleeping in those bunk beds. Please pray that the roosters stay quiet tonight. Thanks!!
