I know those of you who know me are wondering why I would put pictures of a house being built on my site. Why not pictures of kids? That is because I helped build this house!!! Can you believe it?? I am still in shock myself. I was the get this, get that girl…and I LOVED IT!!!! Working on this house reminded me of when I was a kid and I would help my dad build. It was really just watching my dad build and getting nails or the hammer for him every once in a while. It was a great experience building this house. We learned that 13 people are going to live in this itty bitty house! What could be more humbling?
While we were building this house, I met two Guatemalan girls who live next door. We have become such good friends. Every day I look forward to spending time with them. Johanna and Maria are in High School. I got to go visit them in school and talk to their English class. I also got to see their dance class…Guatemalans can dance!!!
It is just amazing to me to see the way God uses each and every instant of our lives. I have so much to look forward to and SO many memories to look back on.
