before i start my blog i just want to inform everyone of something…paul has been on all of our blogs to see who has the most “hits” and he sees that jessica and i are beating him and is very determined to not let that be the case anymore…though we all think it is pretty silly he is now going to start “picture blogging” to see if he can get more hits than us…so just so he won’t get the “big” head and get to rag us in this…keep the hits coming on our sites too. hahaha …hey paul…keep it classy planet earth…hahaha
today we once again were invited to speak at the school. mr. d came to our “house” (our hotel has become our house…we have taken over) and invited us to the school, but he said “we must make a short visit to the mosque before we go to have our free speak… aka our talk…”. so we were taken to one of the 6 largest mosques in all of china. this mosque is very dear and “holy” to the people here because they are told that this is where Mohammad died…so to them it is very special. we were given a tour by an English speaking Muslim that told us all about the Muslim religion…it was quite interesting.

now…it was off to the school…this time it was to a class of 35+ students. i have to admit that it was kinda nice not being so overwhelmed and having a smaller crowd. they asked us many of the same questions that we have been asked before and in return…we gave the same answers…BUT this time one girl stood up and asked us… “what is the meaning of life”…our immediate thought was…YES… we get to tell her what the meaning of life is… mr. d gave this question to mr. paul to answer…paul proceeded to tell them how we are all Christians and we believe that the meaning of life is to know God and to serve Him…he continued to tell them about Jesus and how He died for us to save us and so we can be forgiven of our sins and live in heaven with him.
after that one boy got up and asked us “what is your favorite festival in America”…laura responded by telling them that her’s is Easter and the reason we celebrate Easter and what it means to us.“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
