PRAISE the LORD!!!!

Orange is no longer ours. As of 8:38pm on Feb. 24 2006 we turned her over to our angel.

So…here is the story. We all knew we were getting down to crunch time and that by 7am Saturday morning we had to have our sold!!!! Last night we had the English worship service here and during the service the Lord spoke to me and told me to be in constant prayer and even gave me a vision of our team constantly praying through out the day. What was my immediate response…that is CRAZY!!!! I said, okay Lord, and if this is what you want give me a sign of reassurance.

During the service last night Bruce kept talking about FAITH, believing ingod’s promises and the power of theHoly Spirit…the power in the name of Jesus. Then it came…being in CONSTANT prayer and the power that prayer releases.

Immediately after the service I got all my teammates together and shared this with them and what the Lord had told me. As soon as I got the words out of my mouth and we were about to pray a man walked up and said… “So, you have a car that you want to sell”. I about lost it. I looked at Laura and said “I am going to throw up”.

We talked to him about it and talked about a price. The price we were asking for was too high for him, so he came back with another offer. We told him to let us pray about it and we would let him know.

We prayed then…and then prayed and prayed and prayed. We went to sleep praying, woke up praying, prayed at lunch time, had other people (our great…wonderful friends that we have met here) praying with us. I fasted all day and knew that the Lord was going to be faithful; He was just waiting to see how faithful we were going to be.

We had two offers on our car one was a bit lower than what we wanted but we could make it work and the other was extremely low. As we prayed we felt the Lord telling us to talk to Pablo (the man from last night) so we went to his house looking for him and we was not there; we found him in one of the Spanish schools here. He said that we was very interested and would come talk to us around 4:30.

We continued to stay in prayer. He got here a little after 4 with CASH!!!! Yes…you heard me…CASH!!!! He had never seen our car before, but came with the cash to buy it. We counted and it was not enough, so he agreed to go to the bank and get the rest.

So…Paul, Pablo, and Meagan all went to the bank to get the rest of the money. On the way back Pablo decided that he wanted to actually drive the car before he bought it and…what do you know…the battery was dead, the car wouldn’t start.

Paul took it to the mechanic and had it charged…again. And in the end Pablo still wanted Orange. She we very happily “made the deal”. He gave us the money…in CASH and we signed the title over…good ole’ Orange now belongs to the proud owner Pablo.

We leave tomorrow morning bright and early for Panajachel. We are going there to meet the other teams and have a brief two days of debrief and then Monday morning at 6am the race to LA will begin.

Please pray with us for safety as we leave here and begin DAYS of travel.

Also, pray with us as it is sad to leave these people here that we have become so close to. They have been so amazing in lifting us up, ministering with them, worshipping with them, and them praying for us as we work through this crazy thing called life.
