Dear Colombia,
You were so long ago, but I still see you vividly in my mind. You sparked my desire to see amazing things happen this year. You gave me high expectations for what would come after you. You filled my heart with people and experience I will never forget and goodbyes that were still by far the hardest. Colombia, you represented the start of it all. You were fresh and new and awkward and hilarious. But most of all, you were filled with God and prayer and closeness as a community. We built ourselves in you and for that Colombia, I thank you.

Thank you for teaching me how to love the broken and in return loving me in my brokenness.

Thank you for showing me that love can come from the least expected places.

Thank you for bringing my story to light and for allowing me a safe space in which to share it.

Thank you for introducing me to life long friends from all over the globe.

Thank you for table talks and more laughter than my little heart could handle.

Thank you Colombia for being exactly what I needed at the beginning of it all.

You have left quite the impact on me and I won’t forget all that you taught me. I’ll be back some day Colombia.

Yours Truly,
Katy May
