Dear Friends and Family,
You have made a huge impact in my life, and that is why I am writing to you today. I am reaching out to those that have encouraged, supported, and loved me in the past to ask if you would support me in a future endeavor. On June 1, 2016 I applied to go on an eleven-month mission trip to eleven countries called The World Race. It is through the organization Adventures in Missions who have sent out over 100,000 missionaries since 1989. I got accepted into the program and will be leaving in January of 2017.
There are a few ways you can support me in this adventure. The first, and primary way you can support me is through prayer. Our God is a powerful God and he can do big things when we spend time with him in prayer. Pray that I prepare to the best of my ability, that I stay safe and healthy on the trip. Pray for my team as we go out and spread the gospel and be the hands and feet of Jesus. But most of all, pray that I come back changed; that God uses these 11 months to change and grow me more in his likeness and that I am stretched out of my comfort zone.
Another way you can support me is financially. It costs about $17,000 to go on this trip, and I would love it if you could give in any way that you can. There are one time gift and monthly giving options available as well as going to a few of my fundraising events happening in the upcoming months. Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.
