No January 4th

After
months of preparation, buying supplies, training camp, and freaking out, I am
finally in New Zealand!!! We landed at about 4:30 am New Zealand time, which is
18 hours ahead of Atlanta time; so, we literally never had a January 4th…
just a fun little fact. We are staying on the North Island, which is a
beautiful hilly country. Everything is green and the weather today has been
amazing. It is about 70 degrees with an off and on breeze. The temperature is
supposed to drop a little by night, which will be nice because we are getting
to camp out in our tents. Right now we are in Matamata, NZ. The next 5 days
will be training for the rest of our trip. Don’t really know what all is in
store yet. The details we get about most things are very limited, all for good
reason, so I also won’t know what part of the New Zealand I will be in or what
I will be doing probably until the weekend.
