My first attempt at this was really well written, and if I do say so myself quite humorous. But it was also long and when I accidentally deleted it all I think It was God's way of saying, please condense, because no one will ever read all this. So instead I will compile a list to give you a better idea of who I am- and then hopefully you will like me a little more and maybe actually want to read my blogs and support my race.
(This is just a fun little list, but if you want a more in depth version of my personality traits, feel free to go to My blog Why ME?
I am 23 and have been a California sunshine girl all my life.
I recently graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Yes, I am an artist (and although you would think that would be obvious you would be surprised by how often that question follows the declaration of my major).
Painting is my favorite medium and examples of my work can be seen here. ( I will not be offended if you get sidetracked with my art and forget to finish reading about me, because let's be honest, it is probably way more interesting than anything you will read here.)
Before I was an art major I was a theatre major, and from elementary through high school I was obsessed with acting and singing. I was always type-cast as the loud, annoying, ditzy girl. While loud may be an accurate portrayal of me, please don't let this cast a shadow on my character because I try not to be the either of the latter two. Although I am quite silly.
I was also in our high school Show Choir called Brighter Side, which was our equivalent of "GLEE". Yes, it can be as dramatic as the show, and no, we rarely ever use jazz hands. So I am one of those kids. And as an actor, singer, and artist I know I have enough weirdness in me to cover all the bases.
I was also on track, cross country, and did pole vaulting. You read that right. Pole Vaulting.
I was on court for my city as a Miss Temple City Princess, which also means I am a pageant girl.
I have been skydiving once in my life and absolutely loved it (airgasm, for sure).
I love climbing trees and when I was little I pretty much lived in them, along with my big stuffed monkey Funny Face whom I read books to .
As a kid I ate sand. Multiple times. I also loved planting vegetables with my dad in the garden and despite my clumsy nature would dance on the balance beam pretending to be an Olympic athlete or a figure skater like Michelle Quan. As a little kid I didn't know I wanted to be an artist, probably because my stuff looked like this. (I'd like to think I'm a little better at figure drawing now, although I'm still not convinced arms are a super important part of the body. Or a torso for that matter.)
Continuing the tangent, I have grown up in the same church I was baptized into as an infant and still attend there today.
I have one sister who is 14 years older than me, has 3 kids, and lives in Utah with something foreign and white called snow. I have a HUGE family, including people I am not even sure of how they are related to me (and some I pretend to not be related to- JK), but I love them dearly and they are one of the most important aspects of my life. We are truly one BIG CRAZY family. Like the Greek. Only we don't spray Windex on everything.
I am super passionate about people and one day hope to be an art therapist and bring healing through my talents.
And last but not least, I will finish up with the cliche but oh so true statement: I LOVE JESUS!
Thank you for making it alllll the way down to the end of my list! If you want to know more, feel free to ask or creep me on Facebook like everyone else haha. Blessings! 🙂
