Life is wild. My time in Guatemala is nearing its end and it is the most bittersweet. I honestly cannot wrap my head around any of the change that is about to come. I feel like there are a million different things to process and I have no idea where to begin. Guys, the Lord the coolest ever! This last weekend we headed to the lake to celebrate our pal Caser. It was a wonderful time. We celebrated, dressed up, kayaked, took showers, slept in real beds, and ate super good food. All in all it was a 10/10 weekend. Okay so Sunday morning a few of us headed out on the yaks and it was the most beautiful. We were surrounded by volcanos and mountains and water. Words literally cannot describe how wonderful it was. While I was yakin along the Lord and I got to chatting. He told me a lot of really cool things and showed me how cool he was (I am a big fan of metaphors and Jesus knows that because he the best dad in the whole world and my dad knows me the best out of anyone. As it got harder to keep going He began to show me that with every stroke of the paddle it was like me choosing him. He was all, “Kater every time you choose me, you take a new step into freedom, into love, into hope and faith, into learning what it means to be steadfast.” I honestly couldn’t help but cry. Its like building spiritual muscle, ya know? We keep pressing in and choosing even when its hard. We are setting ourselves up for later. All he wants is for us too be so close to him and when we keep close and surrender all of ourselves in reverence to how great he is he empowers us. Love you, Jesus. Happy Fathers Day!
I think my favorite word in the whole world is BRILLIANT. My Jesus is the most brilliant and he created me to also be brilliant. He created all of us to be brilliant. Holy moly isn’t that just brilliant?! The Lord has placed this word on my heart and I believe it is how he is using me as his vessel. I want to continue to cultivate this in my friendships and relationships. He wants people to know how brilliant he is and how brilliantly he has created us to be!
