To saturate is to combine with or hold the greatest possible quantity of another substance. To surrender is to abandon oneself entirely. The last couple of weeks the Lord placed these two words on my heart. A couple of weeks ago, in the middle of the night, I found myself extremely convicted of not truly surrendering all that I am to my Father. I was also very much convicted of not saturating my relationships in prayer. The Lord has created our entire beings to worship the Father and be in a constant dialog with Him. So that being said, it is important to acknowledge this gift and respond with gratitude. You and I, we are equipped for prayer, in fact, we are fully capable of deeply interceding for each other and giving all of the effort we possess. It is an act of stewardship to pray for one another. Stewardship begins with prayer. It beings with going to the Father and submitting to Him, asking for forgiveness and His eyes, ears, tongue, hands and feet. I am learning that to saturate the relationships I deeply care about with prayer, is an act of obedience. To get on your knees, weeping and fighting with all your heart for the people you love, is an act of reverence to the Son of God who was crucified for you and I. It is finished, Jesus Christ said so. The very least we can do is surrender to the Father and respond with hearts full of gratitude.
