I’ve taken this verse as medicine. I believe if you set your heart right with God and read this passage out loud, your heart will follow what the Lord wants and you will have clarity on any situation.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
“…a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,..”
-Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
I’m learning that to leave pieces of your heart in all these countries you have to give your heart. To give your heart you’ve got to be vulnerable- I’m not talking about sharing your regrets or dirty laundry with strangers.
I’m talking about stepping into vulnerability by putting yourself second. Asking to pray for someone. Sacrificing your lunch money for someone else. Giving your time to the lonely.
Open your heart, give it away, leave it there.
