hi friends!
So i wrote this prayer in my prayer journal on July 14th and i want to share it with you all. I believe it’s a great summary of how last month was. Macedonia will go down as one of my favorite months for many reasons, but mainly because I experienced God’s love for me and the world in a sweet genuine way. I asked him to teach me how to lead and love from a place of rest and obedience and He did just that. Enjoy!
Thank you Abba Father for the gift of rest and restoration.
Thank you for taking my fears when I released them to you. Lord, help me to be still before you. Lead me to a greater vision of who you are and how you see me even through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
This month has been a gift that I will treasure forever. Our host and family are true servants of you and reflect your love and patience so perfectly. These quiet mornings watching the sun rise over the mountains while sipping coffee in my flannel are sweet moments I don’t want to ever take for granted.
May I keep these disciplines of being with you into my daily life back home when this adventure is over. You are continually blowing my mind with new revelations of just how big you are. I will never fully comprehend and I don’t ever want to. Your are a beautiful mystery that will always win and be praised.
I now understand that there is nothing better than hearing and obeying your Holy Spirit. I don’t ever want to miss an opportunity to share your name. Watching you give hope and pierce hearts with your love to people through your people is a gift I don’t ever want to pass up.
Joy is a choice and it’s a hard choice sometimes but you are taking me to deeper places with you, where joy just naturally overflows. May that never end.
May my deep self fall into your presence. May my values and passions burn and be carried out to serve you.
Thank you for this month of sweet surrender, laughter, and deep connections with your presence.
