Hello friends,
So I’ve been in Nepal for a week now. We had debrief with our whole squad, mentors, and coaches for the first five days. It was a strange time but very relaxing, which was needed, especially after coming off our first month in India. Wifi has been scarce so this is a recap on India. Enjoy…
India…oh India…what a hard month. For such a colorful and beautiful country, it is very dark. Besides the fact that it was our first month living together and trying to figure out what on earth we just got ourselves into being a “Racer”, I have never experienced so much spiritual warfare. My eyes and ears were opened to the spiritual realm, which is again, something I’ve never been educated on. So India consisted of a lot of confusion and trying to get through the days. The people and ministry we worked with were amazing, and the Lord is doing big things through them. My team of six found the best and the worst in each other but flew out of India with so many fond memories.
we prayed till the Lord healed
we shared the gospel and planted seeds
we prayed for a Muslim family in the middle of their home.
we were tired and homesick
we were dirty and confused
we laughed until we cried
we cried until we laughed
we drank way to much chai (but some would say that’s impossible)
we started calling each other, “sister”.
but most of all, we started trusting and loving one another.
My team ended our time in India on the beach and it was so fun! Even though it was a tough month, I’m thankful for the Lord revealing to me just how much work He is doing around the world. He began stirring in my heart a deeper need for Him and a push to leave my past hurts behind and truly accept His healing. I learned to appreciate and want to learn from each of the girls on my team and the different gifts the Lord has given us.
Nepal so far has been amazing! I can’t wait to share with you, what Ive already seen and experienced.
J
