When I thought about Africa, I thought it was going to be harder, hot and dry. But a week into Africa, the people are very hospitable, willing to open their homes, it rains every day. My expectations were wrong, however I am very okay with that.

We started off in Africa with a new team, new leader, new stories to hear, new problems, and a new country. With all of these things I have been blessed seeing how God puts people in my life to help me grow. It was a time for change.

As I have been in Kenya, I have been blessed by the people, the church, and host family. My host family have really blessed us by their house, food, ministry, and being able to serve. We have gone from house to house asking people if they need prayer. We just didn't pray for them we sat, talked and shared the love of Christ. Being able to talk to people in the community and able to see their hearts. We had the opportunity to sit and talk with an elderly couple. It was a blessing to see their hearts and talk to them.

We went to a hospital to pray for the sick. This hospital was not like in America. First we went to the children's ward. It was hard for some of us. We went from bed to bed praying for the sick kids. Many of them were excited that we came in and prayed for them. One of the boys that I talked to had low blood count. I don't know too much about it. I didn't know what to do because I am a little scared. When I looked at the boy I could not see he was sick. So I prayed for complete healing. I don't know of he got healed right there or on a later date. But one thing I know is that the smile on his face showed me that God was there.
