‘For the Kingdom’ means, to me, that I am serving God to greater His Kingdom. During my race I never really thought about how I am making His Kingdom greater. There are things that I have done like: prayed for people, help served the church during service, set up activates for the church, handed out free donuts & cokes, helped build a house, move bricks for a church, move dirt and other odds and ends.
The day after one of my team members got hurt and left to go to the hospital I was moving bricks by myself and wondered why I was doing this. See my friends get hurt for what? Am I really impacting someone’s life or just working to build something. I know that helping to build a church that is going to make a difference in someone’s life that I don't know. They have been building the church for five years and it looks like a couple months.
Before our time here in Cahul, Moldova; it was not a thought in my mind that I was doing something 'For the Kingdom'. But through the process the thought has came up. When you are working 'For the Kingdom' God is more on your mind than usual! I have really enjoyed being having God on my mind and thinking about His kingdom.
Word for thought: Are you furthering God’s Kingdom? It doesn’t matter what your job is or how old you are, are you helping His Kingdom?
