I love it in the Philippines. I feel like my heart has never been so full before. It's as if all of my passions are rolled into this one month and I'm so excited.

There are multiple ministry opportunities this month including working with children in the community, tutoring school children, working in the children's home, bringing food to those in the community, and basically just showing the love of Christ to those in the community. Our squad is all together this month but we still split into our teams for our ministry.

Friday was our first day of ministry and it was so great. The first part of the morning was spent organizing a room with a bunch of donations in it. It was a great way to spend time as a team and to be able to play off each other's strengths.

Our team after we organized the donations.

The second half of the morning was spent bringing food to those in a community near ours. We walked around the neighborhood letting people know that food was there but our team was also able to connect with women who work at a health center. It was so great to have fellowship with those in the community and at the end of our time with them we were able to pray over them which was such a blessing.

Our sweet new friends we met at the health center.

In the afternoon we were able to spend time with the community angels. These are precious little girls who live in the community and attend a weekly bible study. They will be coming over for about two hours every afternoon to hang out with us. This is a fun opportunity for us to paint their nails, play games with them, sing with them, etc. It's really just a way for us to spend time investing in them and loving on them with the love of Christ.

Hanging out with these girls is probably the ministry I am most excited about because I am so passionate about girls and women seeing their value and identity in Christ. And I truly feel that by building friendships with these sweet girls we will be able to give them a glimpse of Jesus.

I'm not sure what every day will look like for us here in the Philippines. But there are so many beautiful opportunities to share the love of Christ with those in this community. I am so excited about this.

If you are wanting to lift V squad up in prayer this month, you can be praying for:

  • The kids we are working with, that they would come to know Jesus and their identity in Him.
  • The people in this community, that Jesus would give us the means to meet physical needs and spiritual needs of these beautiful people.
  • Team development. We are all together as a squad this month which is exciting but with our busy schedules it's hard to get team time in. Pray for each of the teams on our squad to be able to bond in awesome ways and for the Lord to use our relationships with each other as a witness to those around us.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support and for following along on this journey with me.
