Sorry for the lack of communication lately, but I will try to update you a bit on what is happening in my crazy life.

As you may know, our group has split up for a bit of rest and downtime.  I paired up with Sarah Rinn and Kim Lynch and decided to visit some places in Europe.  Although it hasn’t been too relaxing because we pretty much are living in train stations and running around crazy…we have been so fortunate to meet some amazing people!

The first picture is taken in Zermatt, Switzerland through some town houses at night.  We found this beautiful cross that just lit up the whole city.  The second picture was taken from the top of the Alps in Switzerland.  We were climbing up to admire the view, and found this plaque on a wall.  How cool!

I think my dream has always been to sit at some peak in the mountains, and just spend time with the Lord.  There is just something majestical about being in solitude in the mist of the most breath-taking form of creation.

And yes, we just had to ski.  I think it is a sin to visit Zermatt and not attempt to conquer the slopes.  It was incredible, and being able to look the big puffy clouds in the eye…are you kidding?!

This picture is of the famous Matterhorn.  I wish I remembered how tall it is, but it’s somewhere you should check out yourself! 🙂

The picture on the left is of our camping friends.  They were so nice and even treated us to a little home-cooked spagetti dinner.  Right over the fire.  🙂  The picture on the right top is of a couple we just met who took the time to give us awesome directions and places to visit.  They also spoiled us with hot chocolate!  The picture on the right bottom is of a random train customs guy.  They stamped my forehead with the Austria stamp being silly I guess.  It’s always nice meeting people who have a sense of humor.  🙂

And, saving the best for last…  Tony and Clementina were our angels in Florence.  When Sarah was in the hospital and sick, we were literally stranded without our luggage and no place to stay.  Our original hostel was too far away and they took us to get our bags along with letting us stay at their apartment right by the hospital for four nights.  They even took us out to dinner one night!  It was one of those times where you just wish you could do something so amazing for them in return because of how much they blessed you.  So if you guys ever read this….THANK YOU SO MUCH!

So, ya.  We are living the life of running in and out of train stations.  Jumping on and off moving trains.  Missing trains.  Sleeping on trains.  Buying the wrong train tickets.  Life is good.  🙂  We are heading a few more places in the next couple days and then meeting up with the rest of our team on the 16th in Croatia.  We will then head into Bosnia where we will spend six weeks working in inner city camps.  I will post more soon.  Thanks so much for all your prayers and support!  I am so grateful for you all!

all my love*

AMAZING GRACE

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I’m found.
Was blind, but now I see.

’twas grace that taught my heart to feel
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

When we’ve been dead ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing god’s praise
Then when we first begun.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I’m found.
Was blind, but now I see.
