we were invited to the school again on friday to do a lecture on how to learn english better….again. this time for around 300 students. i’m not sure how many more ways we can answer this question and i definatly don’t think that we could talk for an hour and a half about that subject. so we started brainstorming ways that we could help them and somehow tie Jesus into this. so after we prayed the Lord gave all of us some ideas. we decided that we would talk about our hometowns, teach them some more worship songs, do a contests between the two sides of the room yelling the Hallelujah! Praise Ye the Lord!!!, ask for some volunteers to do tongue – twisters and tell the gospel and have them answer questions about what we told them. we walked in the room….and there were so many kids. they had a table set up at the front with chairs, microphones and waters for us. it was so funny. one of the english teachers got up and introduced us and told about us….which took away one of our ideas. then he had paul talk about learning english. after that we taught them some songs (and i had a really hard time spelling Hallelujah)
and then decided to do the yell. that was a lot of fun. at the end of that we threw candy to the winning side. that got a little crazy and the english teacher said no more games from the americans. so we had a freetalk. which means they get to get up and ask us questions. almost every question was how to learn english better. we are going back next week and are praying that we will get to share the gospel with them.
