Hello, everyone! Month 5 has begun in Latvia. I've been gone from the United States for a few months now and you are probably used to seeing my blog updates, Facebook statuses and Instagram photos. These first 4 months on the Race have flown by very quickly, but I still have 7 more to go. In just 2 more months, I will hit the final deadline for my fundraising on July 1st. This is when I need to have the full amount of $16,254 in my account or there is the possibility of me going home. But I don't believe that is going to happen. I am only in need of $1,723 in order to be fully funded.
So what I'm doing now with this blog post is making a final push towards being fully funded. I could write for days why you should donate to make me fully funded, but I'm not going to. You can read all my previous blogs for that. In fact, you could read all the blogs from all the other racers around the world for better reasons to donate. But for now, I'm simply asking that you'd take 5 minutes today, donate $1, $5, $10 or whatever, even a penny, towards my trip. Any amount gets me that much closer to being fully funded.
Doing what God has called us to takes money sometimes, and right now, I need you –Yes, you!– to be a part of my journey. Join me in making a difference in the world. Even if you can't actually go on a missions trip, you can still support me and you can be a part of what God is already doing all around the world. You wouldn't just be doing an awesome thing for me, but you'd be doing something awesome to bring change to the lives of countless people around the world!
