I knew answering the “What’s next question?” was going to be difficult to answer even before I stepped foot on American soil, although I never thought it would painful.
I’ve accepted my “calling” just as any other Christian has – to love God and love others. With this guiding my life witnessing heaven on earth will surely happen. I wasn’t “called” to The World Race but it was an open door for me that the Lord did bless. It was an obvious decision and others confirmed that through generously giving to the cause.
Many of the members of our “traveling church” as I like to refer to it began to establish what they would do upon arrival while they were overseas but I promised myself to not make those decisions until I was both physically and mentally back in the states. I would dream about different paths I could take when I returned. Dreams as small as hiding away in the mountains and be a ski bum, to applying for dream design jobs, develop my own brand, move the North West just because, become a tattoo artist, or accept the invite only position Adventures In Missions (AIM) offered me.
The most logical, forward moving option I had on the table was the position with AIM. It’s a six month program where I would be apart of an organization that seeks to expand and represent Jesus’ love. It would allow me the time and space to not only brush up on my design, develop and explore new skills, as well as grow in leadership within the work place. Over the six months there I would be able to dream and establish a foundation for this next chapter of my life while living in a positive, life-giving community of young people who desire to love God and love people.
“So what’s next?” The answer to the question has still been a bit daunting due to the lack of response and interest to this next endeavor. Regardless of my efforts to reach out for the support my account still states I’m at $0.00 funded of the $9,950 goal. In order to take the first step to even getting there I need $3,000 by September 1. I’ve given myself a deadline of Wednesday, August 19 to confirm or deny this option. Please be in prayer with me through these coming days. If you are someone who would like to keep this door open and support its efforts please email me directly what you can give and I’ll inform you by Wednesday the 19th whether or not I will be participating in this program with Adventures In Missions.
