In the Fall of 1984, I was the second born to a beautician, and a tobacco salesman.
Along with my older brother and younger sister, I grew up in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, surrounded by the southern influence of a close-knit family. I was taught to never take for granted long talks outside on wrap around porches while serenaded by katydids and whipporwhils. For exercise, I swam in creeks, climbed trees, and ran around with the family dogs. I love the Georgia pines, yet needed to break out of my norm, escaping west. I was blessed to spend two years and eight months of my life in the slow-paced life of Montana's reservations and ranch land, opening my heart to things I would have never been able to otherwise.
In 27 years, I've learned that laughter truly is the best medicine, and that, no matter how hard I try, I will never know the full extent of Christ's love for me. But I choose to keep diving in.
I'm looking forward to the days to come.
