This is the first part to a three part series. I have been praying into sharing my testimony and my dreams/goals for the future. The more I prayed into this the more I kept thinking how all of that goes hand in hand. What I am striving to be, where God has me right now, and my past that has shaped me. I want to begin with my future and then I’ll more to the next two parts of this series.

As a team we were given the task to write down our dreams for our future, no matter how big or small they are. We were challenged to write down the character traits we need to develop or the ones we need to work on, to help us with those dreams.

My whole life I have been a dreamer, I love to dream big dreams for my life and the lives of the ones I love. When given the task to write them down I found myself so excited. As I started writing I realized how much my dreams have changed since I gave my my heart and life 110% to the Lord. I wrote beside each dream I WILL instead of I want, because when it comes down to it, it doesn’t matter what I want, it matters what He wants for me. Here is what I found myself writing in my journal…

I WILL get all my student loan paid off in the next 5 years. If I am going to be effective in the ministry He has planned for me, I have to take of those and be done. I will pour my extra time and more than half of my money into them until I am done with them.

I WILL allow Him to lead me to whatever ministry He wants me to work with  and learn from. To have a heart for every type of ministry because I want to have a heart for what He has a heart for. I want to grow and learn each day from people different than me. I will be okay if those ministries are in the states or overseas. I want Him to guide my every step.

I WILL start a movement in Hickman, KY that changes the lives of youth and young adults. A ministry that begins with middle school aged students. I want to mentor girls and boys and help them fall in love with the one who is holding out His hand for them to grab on to. I want them to be so in love with Him that no amount of peer pressure, worldly status, friend, or social network can ever sway them off that track.

I WILL marry a man who can lead my home and my family closer to Christ. A husband who loves God so much more than He could ever love me. A husband I can do ministry with, but have different passions in ministry apart from each other. A husband who loves serving the nations as much as I do. I want God to make my husband, a man that is loyal, with great character, a man who is a leader in our church, community, and a man that my children are excited to look up to.

I WILL start my own ministry one day, a ministry that works with girls who are sold on the streets. A ministry that helps girls who have no one on this earth to call them daughter, no way of getting an education. Girls who have more potential than the only life they have been forced to know.I want to work with street boys and teach them to be Godly men. Raise up leaders in places that so desperately need Godly leadership. The type of men who change the world for the Lord.

I WILL use each day as another opportunity to praise Him for what He has done in me and for me. I will make my life a dedication to bringing Him glory and making sure the world knows of the greatest part of my life.

These are my dreams all wrote out. My life may look exactly like this or nothing like this but at the end of each day I will praise God because His plan is perfect.
