Dear YOU,
YOU are either a supporter, a prayer warrior, a squad mate, a family member, part of my church family, a friend, or someone who stumbled across my blog. YOU are here for a reason. YOU are reading this right now because God put you in this exact moment to read it. I am thankful for that.
I am writing this because in 5 very short weeks I am leaving, 5 weeks seems so long at times and other times I want a pause button to hit because the time is passing to fast. I have been blessed beyond words throughout this process of just preparing to leave America, and I have God to thank for that because He placed everyone of you in my path in this time to bless me through YOU. I wish I could name every single blessing I have received but no one has that much time to read a blog that long.
Lets highlight a few because everyday I am thankful for those big moments that have allowed me to feel and see God like I never have before and I want to share with you all so that you may be able to see Him too. I have received blessing in the form of prayers, not only being put on a prayer list but I spoke at a church and their youth and youth leaders took me to the alter and prayed over me and my journey. That is some powerful stuff to see God working through teenagers. I have received blessings in the form of change, I had a sweet little boy from my team kids clean out his piggy bank at home and bring me a bag full of change for my trip. That is one of the most beautiful things I have received for a small child to let God work through him. I have received blessings in the form of other peoples sacrifice, I had a lady at a church I spoke at take a ring off her finger and give it to me to sell so that I can put the money towards my trip, gave me chill bumps and made me tear up! Lastly, yesterday I was feeling discouraged about finances and how much more I needed and God told me to check my account and I had a $500 anonymous donation. Yes, I cried because God's timing is so good.
I am not mentioning these things to put them above anyone else's gifts to me or any of the other donations I have received, because every single gift has meant everything to me. I am saying these as a reminder to myself and to all of you that God is working BIG time and this trip hasn't even began yet.
There are not enough words in my vocab to say how thankful I am for all of YOU! I love you and I feel so honored to carry you with me to 11 different countries. My life has been shaped by all of your prayers and love. You have believed in me and supported with Christ is doing in and through me.
Thank YOU for going on the World Race with me. Every orphan I love on, prostitute I befriend, church I help build, and every relationship I build will have been shaped by the love and support each of YOU have gave to me! Thank you for that.
