As my month in Thailand came to an end, I felt God speaking to me about not spending any personal money the following month. My response? “Really God?? I don’t even spend all that much! I just want to be able to buy snacks, coke, chocolate..ya know, the good stuff! Is this really necessary?!” Of course He thought it was necessary so the plan was not to spend any personal money while in Cambodia.

Throughout the month, God provided for me in different ways. Our contact, Ra, made us the best iced coffee every morning. Every few days he would surprise us with a homemade lemon iced tea or coke. One day I was joking with Kate (my team leader) about finding room in our budget for chocolate. That very day my teammate Robin, who knew nothing of my joking, came back from town with chocolate for everyone!! And throughout the month teammates bought us all snacks and chocolate. Another day, Ra served us crab for lunch! For those who don’t know, crab is on my “top 5 favorite food” list and I haven’t eaten any all year so you can imagine how stoked I was!

I know these things may seem so small but to me they mean so much! God even provided bigger things such as my baggage fees on the way home paid for and a plane ticket for the cruise my friend is taking me on only being $89 instead of the $220 it was supposed to be.
It amazes how much God cares about EVERYTHING in our lives! He will always provide! Whether, it is chocolate, baggage fees, or funding for missions He cares and will always pull through. God loves us so very much and He desires to not only meet our needs but our wants as well. So, DUDE DON’T DOUBT (our D squad slogan) He will provide!
