A day in the life of an Ukrainian Missionary…

9am – Wake up and eat breakfast
**Breakfast usually consists of Eggs, Cheese, and Pasta or these amazing crepe/pancake things

9:45 – Morning prayer with my team

10:20 – 4 of us getting in “The Dragon” with Tolic and the rest of us walking to the bus stop with Alla and Nastya

11 – Introductions in a classroom at different schools. Teaching conversational English by asking things like “What’s your favorite ______? If you could go anywhere in the world, where and why would you go?”

12:30 – Walk to the church for lunch (or what they call “dinner”)
**Lunch usually consists of 2 courses….first Soup and Bread followed by Slaw and a main dish that varies from pastas, buckwheat, meats, or other tasty goodness that I don’t know how to explain

2-3 – Relaxing, Tea or coffee and sometimes Internet time at “Café Roman” aka Roman’s apartment

3 – Walk to another school (what they call “College” which we would consider 11th and 12th grade of high school) split up into 3 groups and teach 3 different levels of English. I’m working with Lynnsey and Stacy teaching beginning level class.

4:30 – Walk back to the church

5:00 – Lynnsey, Stacy and I teach another class of kids ages 10 & 11

6:30 – 4 back in the dragon with Tolic and the rest walking to a bus stop to head home
That is Monday- Friday’s schedule, Saturday is our day off we spend in town or relaxing at home, Sunday we spend the day at church…service in the morning then lunch and fellowship with our church family. Then the rest of the day always looks like this…..

7ish – Dinner time (or what they call “supper”)
**Dinner usually consist of jumbo hot dogs, homemade fries, slaw and bread, or Chicken, pasta, slaw, and bread or meat, buckwheat, slaw and bread
After dinner is tea time and nightly feedback

11 – I crawl into my bed, write in my journal, read my bible, prayer, then in go my headphones and I fall asleep to some good music
