Well I am born and raised a southern gal from Mississippi. I usually get two words out of my mouth before I am stopped to ask where I am from (if I am anywhere other than south which is always likely). I am currently living in Colorado on a guest Ranch. Therefore, I get asked “where I am from” quite often. When I go home, my family says I sound like a northerner. I guess my accent is somewhere in the middle. Anyway, I grew up in a small town in MS where everybody knows everybody. I went to college not too far away at Mississippi State University and graduated with an Elementary Education degree. I did not want to start teaching in the middle of the year so I moved to Lost Valley Ranch. I absolutely loved it and felt The Lord calling me to stay so I did. For two years it has been my home. Here are some fun facts about me:
1. I love being in a place where I can serve and have a strong community surround me. I love Jesus. I love being surrounded by people that need Him in hopes that the way He has given me to live my life will do just that.
2. I was born on Christmas Day. No I do not get double the presents. Okay maybe sometimes. My granny says that I was the best Christmas present she ever got. 🙂
3. I love my siblings with everything I have in me. I am the oldest of 6 and they are my heart. They break my heart, make me smile, make me mad but overall they bring me so much joy.
4. I have had the deepest desire to travel and experience other cultures since I got my first job.
5. I love working out: running, biking, hiking, and strength training. I just finished the Tough Mudder to support wounded warriors. Ahh it was amazing.
6. I am very last minute and spontaneous. I do not need much time to decide on where to travel. I just go. Road trips are where its at.
7. I am pretty laid back on most things. I do not generally have an opinion or want to make decisions so yes, I am one of those that say “I don’t care” when asked to make a decision on where to eat.
8. Horses are my new escape. I could ride for hours. There is more than you can imagine to learn about horses. I love how continuous the knowledge is. They might the only animal that I like. Besides elephants. I do love elephants.
9. Oh the harmonica. I love to just get lost in learning how to play the harmonica. Most people do not know this about me because I will not play in front of people unless they need to laugh.
10. I have a passion for children, traveling, and really living life to the fullest. I am blessed beyond belief.
