During our elephant excursion we met 5 fellow backpackers from America and it was a divine appointment. We we’re sitting in the back of our provided transport for this adventure and picked up 5 strangers along the way. As we were all cramped into the back of a truck the “small talk” began. The usual “so, where are you from?” and “How long have you been traveling?” was exchanged. A few more small talk questions until we began to realize that we were speaking to our very own brothers and sisters in Christ! Once this was realized, it was a frenzy of questions in order to piece together each other’s awesome lives. To sum up the day, we had an unforgettable experience at the amazing Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. This blog is about the day which followed.

After exchanging FB info we created a chat group in hopes of meeting up again in Chiang Mai. Brittany, one of these new friends we made, suggested a worship session. So the next morning, we rose up at 5:30 for some sunrise worship. That day, 6 Christians worshiped the Father openly in a prodominantly Buddhist country. 6 young adults from completely different walks of life gathered together at common ground before our Lord. We prayed over the bridge and all who would walk on it. We prayed over one another. We sang songs about joy and freedom. We shared what the Lord had been teaching us. That random day, on some random bridge, with some random strangers, we got to experience a rough draft of the Kingdom. It’s almost as if it wasn’t random. It’s almost as if it was yet another divine appointment. I’ll leave that to interpretation ;D But I must mention that before ending our worship session, Brittany gave Ali a long letter and mentioned that God had told her she would meet Ali almost a year ago. We were so filled from this encounter and are so ready to continue to pour into all others we meet. Praise God for coincidences.
