10 Days in Training Camp with 2-4 wisdom-saturated sessions per day produced over 54 pages of notes in my new leather-bound journal. 41 squad mates were led by countless spiritual mentors/role models, who poured their hearts out to us. Their shared compassion and selfless love led to countless tears fallen as we approached the altar countless times on our knees in reverence to God’s glory.

These past 10 days have tried us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. They were the best 10 consecutive days of my life and as Bill Swan said, “We don’t want this to be the best time of your life. Rather, we want this time to propel you towards greater moments followed by even greater moments.” This is only the beginning.

Jesus has taught me so much through the Worldrace Training camp. Just to highlight a few;

Identity: I am Jason Love Albano, son of the only true God.

Matthew 4:18-22 Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James and John to leave everything and follow him. They left their jobs as fisherman, dropped their nets and followed Jesus. Peter was no longer “Peter – the fisherman,” He became “Peter – the Apostle of Jesus Christ”

Worldracers: We are no longer defined by our past. Every piece of guilt, pride, lust, shame, and sin was nailed to the cross with Jesus and put behind us when we gave our “yes” to join the World race. We are World racers – Ambassadors for Christ, Light to the Dark World, and Liberated Children of the Living God.

Forgiveness: I am forgiven from all sin. Past, present and future.

1 Corinthians 5:17 Jesus is our new covenant, those in whom He dwells are wiped clean to walk in newness of life.

Matthew 6:14-15 Understanding the Grace and Mercy shown unto me, I can’t help but forgive those who have hurt me. Understanding my forgiven state, I let go of any condemnation I place upon myself.

World racers: We are no longer withholding any bitterness from our past. We place it all in God’s hands and trust that He will be faithful and just to carry us through.

Discipleship: I am a disciple who is creating disciples that create disciples. (hope I didn’t lose you on that one)

Matthew 28:19 Jesus called His disciples to make converts! Just kidding, I was seeing if you were really paying attention there. That is how typical American Christianity interprets that verse. “To go into the world and hear as many people pray the sinner’s prayer as possible…” But that’s not biblical. Jesus’ Great Commission was for his disciples to make more disciples.

World racers:  We have taken on this commission. We have agreed to allow the Holy Spirit, through God’s word and designated mentors, to train us up in order to train up others. We are spreading a flame ignited by God through 12 men over one thousand years ago.

Again, this is only a snippet of the many life lessons we as world racers learned through training camp. I am literally begging you to please spark a conversation with me or any world racer you know. We want to share everything God is doing through your support and these are things that cannot be condensed into 500-750 word blog posts. Revival is now. The kingdom is being constructed. Vulnerability is flourishing. Walls of shame and guilt have collapsed. Out of its rubble Community is being erected. Community that intertwines intimacy and mission. This is tasting Heaven on earth. This is joyous praise. This is true worship. This is the result of all your support, donation, and prayer. THIS IS THE WORLD RACE… and it has only just begun!

With all the blood, sweat, tears, stank, and everything being said; we also had a whole lot of fun. Please take time to check out this short video with shots taken during Training Camp! Don’t forget to subscribe, like, and share ;D
