The Lord has been reshaping on my heart unlike any other time prior to this month. The list above is a weak illustration of how scattered my mind is as I reflect on our first month on the Worldrace. I’ve sought after wisdom and guidance from our leaders. I’ve spent days in fasting and earnest prayer. I’ve taken extra quiet time hear from the Holy Spirit. I’ve shared my anxieties with my closest squad mates and even my mom. With all these efforts, and so much more than I can list, I would like to share the conclusion that I have come to:

This will have to be the end of my race.

Ever hear the quote, “Let go and let God”? It has never been more true than it is now. This month, I fell into the trap of trying to do things my way. It led to me becoming very confused and frustrated; but then, God spoke. He said, “My child, this is not your race. It’s mine.”

It is time to run God’s Race.

At the beginning of our first month, we received news that our team will have a lot of free time. Immediately, I tried to fill this time with things that I wanted to do and handle situations the way I wanted to handle them. I was worried that if I didn’t fill up my time with the things I felt I needed to do, then our month would be wasted. That sentence alone has way to many “I’s”. It wasn’t until God showed me that I hadn’t been seeking the Lord’s guidance and trusting completely in Him. Once my time was handed to Him, the Lord began to fill up our days in ways I’d never dreamed of.
