Exclamations!!!!!
Today is the day.
You’re off to World Race!
There’s no time to delay!
You have a pack on your back.
And a pack on your front.
You packed a lot, possibly it is too much.
You’re not on your own.
And you know that is true.
And God is the guide who will always guide you.
You’ll walk up and down streets
Pray over ‘em with care.
Some will be dark, but you can choose to bring light there.
With a head full of knowledge
And a heart full of love
You’re smart and you know, that you are being watched from above.
And you may not find a street
That doesn’t bring some fear
In that case, of course, make sure your team is near.
It’s better there, in team community.
It’s there things can happen and frequently do
Especially to people as open and honest as you.
And when things start to happen,
Don’t worry! Don’t fret!
Just go right along. The Spirit is there, you can bet.
OH! THE SPIRIT WILL MOVE!
And we’ll move along too.
We’ll be seeing great things.
We’ll join our mighty God who mighty things He will bring.
On a plane we’ll fly,
To one country then the next
Our route may change, but only for the best.
Because it just did. Month 3, Kenya’s in.
Uganda, Rwanda,
But Ethiopia’s out,
Then Nepal and India is what it’s all about.
Cambodia, Thailand,
Malaysia too,
Then Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua will do.
And when you find brokenness,
Or brokenness finds you,
Don’t worry don’t fear, you know what to do.
Lean in. Into God.
Even if you want to quit.
Press on. Move forward. He will prove it’s worth it.
You will come to a place,
Where the brokenness breaks,
And that is when everything will fall into place.
A place where you can be,
And you can learn and you can grow
Do you dare to go out, do you dare to say no?
How much can you empty,
Of yourself and your things.
And IF you should empty, should you empty a half or full . . . or half and-one-quarter,
or maybe, think small?
Or go and dive in and empty it all.
It’s not simple,
And I’m afraid I will learn,
That the more that I empty, the more God will stir.
I best not get confused,
On who can truly provide,
Because I can pack and I can plan, but the unknowns can override.
Override my preparedness,
And it will be all for naught,
So if I empty and trust, I’ll get what God brought.
There will be waiting . . . lots and lots of waiting.
Waiting for a plane to fly or the bus to vroom,
Or the rain to stop, or the skype to ring,
Or the Ministry host to tell us to go
Or waiting around for the “African Time” to show
Somehow it will be fine,
The waiting the waits,
And we’ll find the right places and enter the right gates.
OH! THE SPIRIT WILL MOVE!
There is work to be done!
There is ministry to do!
There are hearts to be won!
And the spiritual blessing we give our hosts will make us the disciple-est disciples of all.
Not that it’s a contest,
(but our squad is ‘Z’ best)
And we’ll bless the hearts around us as we will be blessed.
But will we succeed?
Yes, successes indeed! (Real change, spiritual change, God guaranteed).
Faith to move mountains!
We’re off as the Spirit will move.
Today we are off, the world to roam.
Uganda is waiting. . . . At 8:22pm we are away!
