Got back from Reynosa, overall the project went well. Had the chance to experience how much staff does on a project and what a thankless job leadership can often be. The highlight of the trip for me came when during set-up we met one of our driver’s for the week, Sergio. Our set-up guy Ceaser is a good friend of Sergio’s. Sergio has 7 children 3 of which were living at there home church, because of economical condition’s. There had been rumor that the pastor there had been abusing children.Sergio and his wife had dismissed the talk , but found out it was true. After I heard his stiory I felt a strong stirring to pray for Sergio his 3 daughter’s his wife and the rest of the family and thier need’s when Ceaser turned to me and asked if I would be willing to pray. I prayed as I felt led and was able to pray with insight as to the struggles this family now faces. Two day’s later Sergio asked me to share my testimony with him. I asked the LORD to speak through my testimony the thing’s that would help Sergio and his family,he then asked me to pray over his wife. This opportunity came a couple of day’s later when the project did thier A.T.L. (ask the LORD) Which is simply ask God what he would have you do, and see what you get. As I prayed over Maria She began to weep.Few time’s in my life has my heart been wrenched inside of my chest as it was while Maria lamented before the LORD, and I felt as though god was redeeming some of my own pain.He has taught me the only reason he let me go through the valley of hurt is so I can guide other’s through it!
