Leave for Matamoros as soon as I get off the net. Back to the Gateway for a couople day’s then off to Georgia and S.Carolina. Then back to the Gateway to finish my commitment with A.I.M. I prayed with Ella and Jose before I left and spoke to the resident’s about walking with the LORD. Staying close and the significance of the name EL REFFUGIO. Psalm 91 talk’s about staying under the protection of GOD the pinion of his wing’s. There’s a story about a forest fire that anihlates everything in it’s path, and afterward’s some men find the charred remnant’s of a bird. When they approach it they here chirping. They pick it up and under the dead mother’s wing is a living baby bird!! The world and it’s way’s are a raging fire destroying everything in it’s path and when we get close to the LORD and stay there he is our covering.
Iv’e been here for almost three month’s. Iv’e become great friend’s with Ella and Jose, and have also become good friend’s with alot of the resident’s and people in surrounding communities. After dinner last night they brought me a Mexican birthday cake(a bunch of cokie’s stacked on top of each other covered with chocolate syrup and shoved my face in it!!! Overall my time here has been awesome.
