Malaysia…..
      OVER?!?!?! Already???
I can't believe Malaysia has come and gone!
And furthermore, I can't believe I haven't BLOGGED about it yet, and for that I apologize. broken heart BUT here ya go. 🙂 This is my measly attempt at sharing just a few of the things I have learned and seen so far in this crazy race.

First and foremost, I will say that this race, even in it's first few weeks, has begun to stretch me in ways that I haven't yet experienced in life. And even when I complain, or hold a death-grip on a bad attitude and refuse to be moved by His spirit, I trust that what God is doing is GOOD

If I had to summarize my first week of this Malaysian extravaganza in just a few words, they would be:
Exhausting
Humility
Growing
Understanding
Seeking
Curry

By the end of last week, I was bone dry.
EXHAUSTED
After my first travel period as a Team Leader, I really wasn't sure I wanted to claim the title any longer. It wasn't that the job is extremely complicated, or that I failed my team horribly, but the stress of always feeling like I was under a microscpoe that was searching for flaws in my character and ability wore me out! I felt like I was only delaying the inevitable mishap that would deem me inadequate as a team leader. And ya know what? I came to the conclusion that there was
NO WAY
I could live up to this perfectly ideal standard of leadership that I had created in my mind that I thought my team deserved.
HUMILITY.
I began to do what I had been needing to do the whole time, and what God was tapping His foot waiting for me to do as well, which was look to
HIM
for strength, leadership, and wisdom, as I lack them quite often… and some more than others. 😉
He humbled me, and then immediately began to fill me with a new perspective and zeal for the place I was at.
GROWING.
UNDERSTANDING.
SEEKING.
God is still confirming my desperate need of Him everyday, from training camp until now, and as my weaknesses become more apparent, His strength does too.
ANYWHAYZE…..

View from the roof of our YWAM Base, featuring beautiful sunrises on Penang Hill, where most of the fiercest monkeys rule! Muslim prayer calls can be heard well up here, as the megaphone blares songs and prayers of their religion.

NAAN NAAN NAAN NAA, HEY HEY HEY< GOOD BYE
Some delicious NAAN bread with an assortment of curry sauces and other yummies.

Standing in front of one of the many temples of Penang. Incense burns 24/7 around here, as Georgetown features a healthy helping of Muslim, Buddhist, and Daoist cultures.

Muslim Prayer Tower, as I call them, calls all Muslims to prayer at the mosque at least 5 times a day. Winston, (the hedgehog) posing in front.

INNER CITY PRESSURE

ANNNNNND
Last but not least, me losing my mind in the hustle and bustle of Chulia St.
My team and I would scour this street every evening for Satay, Wan Tan Mee, and some chilling iced Milo (chocolate milk) to finish off the day.
