Well, first off, I wanted to let you know that our team name has changed. Not for any bad reason, but let me walk you through it quickly.

During our Debrief in Nelspruit we all shared about how we wanted to push each other on into greater intimacy together and with God, into greater courage with our ministry and into greater intentionality with individual goals / dreams / etc. One prominent example was how we wanted to be a group that would ‘Pray Until Something Happens’ when it came to looking for miracles, healings, etc., rather than praying once and walking away regardless of what happens.

Later, we also found out that one of the teams on B squad, upon their team changes, had chosen to be Team Siloam. So this got us thinking – could we be Team P.U.S.H. instead? We sent off the request through Dusty and, to be honest, forgot about the request a few days later. Then, when our squad leaders were here and we had them in one of our debriefs, they let us know – we are now Team P.U.S.H. 😀 So, in a roundabout way, I have a photo and a video, to (re-)introduce us.

Film Festival

Last week a couple of the people in our group came up with an idea that we spent the next few days, during free time, completing. The challenge was this – create a five minute (only) film using your whole team, based on three things – a genre, a prop to base the film around and a line to include somewhere. These were all decided by everyone writing down a prop and a line each, putting them in respective hats, as well as having a hat with 5 genres in it. Team leaders then picked one from each.
Our team picked ‘Horror’, ‘Dusty’s beard’ and ‘registration final, August 15th, pow’ – this is what we came up with:

We won ‘Best Intro’ and ‘Best use of prop’. Yay!

Team Ignition picked ‘Action’, ‘toothbrush’ and ‘soldiers tell me that the bond between those they serve with is the deepest emotional relation’. Here is their production:

They won ‘Best Story’ and ‘Best Soundtrack’.

Finally, Team Amaranthine picked ‘Comedy’, ‘farm equipment’ and ‘that was my razor you selfish, self-centred sucker!’. Their mock-umentary looked like this:

They not only won ‘Best Actor’ for Tiffany, but were also the ‘Overall winners’.

Needless to say, we had lots of fun. Here’s hoping we get to do something like that again sometime.

Change of Destination

Finally, for your information, due to whatever circumstances I’m currently unsure of, we will now be spending next month in Romania not Bulgaria (in an area North West called Arid). We’re not sure for certain yet whether Bulgaria will now move to our second month in Eastern Europe, or whether Serbia will stay as it is, but as soon as I find out anything regarding places, I’ll make sure to let you know.

Ciao for now. P.S. Here is how long my hair is now:
