As we draw to the end of the our time in Bulgaria, with some other teams in Serbia, and about to spread out across eastern Europe for our next month (including these two countries, Croatia, Czech Republic and Ukraine – my team will be in Serbia) I thought it might be nice to share some of the posts that some of my squad mates have written in their blogs, to give you a taste of the wider experiences of Z squad at the moment:
- Megan Miller – My joyful heart – Megan shows how sometimes, in the midst of all the work, we get fun days too.
- Sara Norton – These are the moments – Sara, one of our squad leaders and my old team leader, describes one of the kinds of small moments that, when all put together, make up the World Race.
- Majil Franz – Seeds, serpents and deadly hoes – Majil shares about the day to day experiences of her month
- Jenn Watson – Experience the Excitement! – Jenn, a current team mate, gives you a practical way to experience what a travel day is like for us.
- Maggie LaVigne – What the world needs is people willing to smile – Maggie learns the power of a simple smile
- Jess Fischbach – And then he died – Jess, from my old team, shares about an older couple they encountered in Romania and how one of them passed away whilst they were there.
- Bea Ibarra – My kids – Bea explains how her teams work in Swaziland changed her perspective on children
- Dusty Dills – Worth 1,000 words – Dusty, my current team leader, has put up some photos of our visits to Roma communities this month.
- Tiffany Chen – On Us – Tiffany writes with raw honesty about her past, her struggles and the beautiful lessons that Father is teaching her in the midst of the Race.
