October 7th is right around the corner..and there is still alot of preparation that has to be done before leaving for 11 months..i have exactly 29 days until i leave..and i put a list together of 29 things i still need from wonderful people like yourself 🙂 i kind of copied my amazing team leader ryan for this idea…but people cant help you if they dont know what you need help with..so here is what i need before i can start my journey:
1. Prayer, Prayer, Prayer, Prayer and did i mention Prayer??
+pray for my squad, my team, my family, ME, the countries we are going to, the ministry contacts we will be staying with, the children we will play with, the adults we will build relationship with, our squad leaders, our team leaders, our finance people, safe travels, and anything far and in between!
2. Financial Support [$$]
+this trip is right around $15,000..i know it took my breath away the first time i heard it too..but no amount of money could ever compare to God's love, his AMAZING love..that i get to share to people around the WORLD..and when you look at it that way..$15,000 is nothing…especially when we are expanding the kingdom of God!
3. People at my Party!
+Im having a going-away party September 23rd..at Schoolhouse BBQ..THE MORE THE MERRIER! 🙂 i want to be able to share my story with anyone that is willing to listen..i want to help people get a better look at what my squad && i will be doing for the next 11 months..and this party is where it will all go down!..along with some good eating 😉
4. Spread the word about Threads of Hope..
+to help raise funds im selling bracelets from the Philippines called Threads of Hope..i have around 1500 bracelets to sell..and the money raised will go to better families in the Philippines as well as get me that much closer to my goal! Im selling them 1 for $2 or 3 for $5–>you know you want 3 of them 🙂
5. PRAYER!
6. Stuff Sacks!
+what in the world is a stuff sack?? its like a mini dresser but it packs well and i can put ALOT of my clothes in it and have room for all my other shinangins 🙂
7. Ear Plugs.
+forserious! this is going to be a must! i need legit ones though..some to last me the WHOLE trip..i have a feeling that these will be my best friends..the only thing that can take me to my happy place other than my iPod lol speaking of iPod…
8. Mini iPod Speakers..
+i like to jam out..and sometimes i want to share my tunes with teammates, strangers, goats, chickens, trees, really anything that will listen 🙂 so i need some tiny speakers that are easy to carry and reliable! very reliable 🙂
9. PPRRAAYYYEERR!
10. Vitiamins!
+i love the flinstone gummies haha..but any multivitamin will do! gotta keep my immune system in check! my metabolism up! and all that other stuff that vitiamins help with! 🙂 any vitamins will help!! really..
11. Surge Protector..
+a teeny tiny one..a iPod charger included in it would be AMAZING..but a tiny regular one will do just fine 🙂 hint* hint** > Belkin makes them with the iPod charger included!
12. Headphones!
+i need some really nice headphones..like skullcandy or something..these will also be my lifesaver! so they need to be top notch..so they can make it through the journey with me!
13. Netbook Cover.
+i just bought a brand spanking new netbook and i know it will probably get beat up and stepped on and everything else..but i would love to have either a case on it or a case to put it in.. P.S i like polka dots 🙂
14. Nikon D40 Camera Case.
+i need a really nice camera case for my nikon..it needs to be compact but durable. i will have my camera on me alot..but i need a good hard case to have for travel days and such!

16. Waterproof Bible!
+THEY DO EXIST! lol i think this would be a GREAT investment! and it would save me a lot of worry and stress..my bible will be my map for this journey and its kind of hard to read wet pages..so a waterproof bible would be the jack of all trades..they also are avaliable in pink 😉
17. Eye Mask..
+another one of those happy place necessities 🙂
18. Bug spray!
+i need the hard core stuff..like 3005% deet lol..those mosquitos are ferocious..and i dont want anything they got!!
19. Dove Deodorant!
+i know i cant be picky…but i dont want my secret to be telling on me..so im going to stock up on deodorant and see if i can make it stretch..they sell deodorant around the world..just not always name brand..i wear anything really..but Dove is my favorite 😉

+to what?? 22. TOMS gift card!
+i would love to buy a extra pair of toms for the race..so a gift card would really help…or you can just surprise me, i wear a W11 🙂
23. A HAMMOCK!
+the ones that can pack very easily and very tiny..ive heard that on your days off..a hammock=heaven! 🙂
24. Lots of TANK TOPS!
+any color! they have to be thicker straps..no spaghetti straps..i have a couple but really need to stock up!
25. Books!
+any books that can help my teammates && i grow spiritually will definitely be a blessing! i think biblical based books bring wisdom! and you can never have to much wisdom 🙂

27. Mosquito Net!
+also needs to be lightweight, packs tiny, and durable! this will come in handy..ESPECIALLY in africa 🙂

+crossword puzzles, coloring books, sudoku, phase 10, uno, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT 🙂
29. GET A SKYPE, OOVOO, && ADD ME ON FACEBOOK!
+you thought i was going to say prayer, huh? lol prayer is very important but i just need support..help me share my story..set up a prayer schedule..pray for specific countries on specific months…help me and my squad to conquer the struggles in front of us..build us up in prayer and spiritual well being! be right behind us willing to catch us if we fall! and remember i want you to be apart of this journey just as much as i am..follow my blog, find me on facebook and skype/oovoo! i would love to chat with you especially once i leave!
